How God shaped a vision for refuge, rebirth, and renewal
From personal transformation to a ministry of hope
Mark Welton's journey to founding Triple R Ministries began with his own life transformation. Called to ministry after experiencing the redemptive power of faith, Mark dedicated decades of his life to pastoral ministry and serving communities in need.
Through years of walking alongside hurting families, Mark witnessed firsthand the crisis facing foster and adoptive families — the isolation, the burnout, and the lack of community support. He felt God calling him to do something about it. That calling became Triple R Ministries: a vision for a ranch model community where foster and adoptive families could find refuge, experience rebirth, and walk in renewal — together.
The first tangible step was the Hawkins House — the original home on the property. What began as a structure in need of complete renovation became a labor of love for volunteers, partners, and supporters across Northwest Florida.
Today the Hawkins House stands fully renovated, with an addition built to welcome the first ranch family — proof that the vision God planted is taking root.
Along the way, God provided partners like SWAN Aviation, whose support helped carry the ministry forward through fundraising events and community outreach — a reminder that this work has never been done alone.

Triple R Ministries is officially incorporated, establishing the legal and organizational foundation for the ranch model vision.
Lillian Van Houten donates a piece of property within Topsail State Park — later sold to purchase the land in Escambia Farms we now know as Triple R Ranch.
After decades of ministry, Mark feels God leading him to create a refuge for foster and adoptive families. The vision for a ranch model community — Refuge, Rebirth, Renewal — begins to take its present form.
A key milestone is reached with the acquisition of property in Baker, Florida — the future home of the Triple R ranch community.
Renovation begins on the Hawkins House, the first home on the property.
Partnerships are formed with SWAN Aviation and Ropin' the Truth. Community fundraising events launch, expanding awareness and support for the ministry's mission.
The Hawkins House is fully renovated with a new addition, and the first ranch family — Matt & Lacole Christmas — lives on the property.
